READY…SET…GO!!!! As we head out of the inlet Wednesday morning, we all will hope lady luck is on our side as we kick-off the annual Summer Slam Poker Run! This is a fun way to start the Summer Slam event as we boat to our fishing destination with a couple of fun stops along the way!
This year we will be running down to Faro Blanco Resort and Marina for fishing, fun, SS Tournament, and Key West. All participating captains/anglers/members will depart Hillsboro Inlet on 6/5 around 8am with a shotgun bimini start. All vessels will line up (drone will be passing between all vessels), and take off for Marathon, Florida running on the inside following each other.
First stop will be Gilberts Resort for a quick bite/drink, and receive the 1st two cards of the poker run.
Second stop will be Hog’s Heaven Sports Bar and Grill, and receive 3 more cards.
Third and final stop will be at Faro Blanco Resort and Marina. After check in at the resort all members will head to the pool area for the arrival Summer Slam Mixer. All participants will have the opportunity to trade in up to 3 cards.
After all cards have been finalized the winning hand will walk away with $2,000 cash prize.
POKER RUN RULES
- Entry is $100 per hand,
- Captain/Angler can hold multiple hands.
- 2 cards will be issued at Gilberts (you do not have to be on site, we can record your card pull on record)
- 3 cards will be issued at Hog’s Heaven (you do not have to be on site, we can record your card pull on record)
- Up to 3 cards can be traded in for replacement cards (you do not have to be on site, we can record your card pull on record).
- Final winner will be announced at the Summer Slam Mixer at the Faro Blanco Bar and Restaurant pool.
- Winning hand wins top prize of $2000
- Each card disbursed will be recorded for final (name and card). Entire recorded sheet will be available for all members to review.
