KIDS DAY FISHING~FISH CITY PRIDE~OAPB FISHING FOUNDATION

Saturday July 13th was a beautiful day to be on the water fishing.  A group of young adults came aboard Fish City Pride with our volunteers and chaperones to learn about fishing out of Hillsboro Inlet, Pompano Beach FL. Some of these kids have never been on boats or even picked up a fishing rod. That did not stop them from dropping the anxiety/fear for absolute fun and laughter. Check out the video of the day.

3RD PLACE DOLPHIN-CHASEN TAILZ

2019 CHASEN TAILZ KDW FISHING TOURNAMENT

The 2019 Chasen Tailz Tournament was held in Jupiter, Florida at the Wyndham Grand Jupiter Harborside.  This year’s tournament was postponed on Sept 7th due to Hurricane Dorian, and a 2nd postponement due to heavy seas. The tournament was finally held on Sept 28th. The OAPB Fishing Team took 3rd place Heaviest Dolphin overall, 2nd place Angler Armory and 3rd place Southern Kingfish Association (SKA), Division 10, Small Boat Class.

Chasen Tailz tournament wraps up the Angler Armory and SKA tournament season.  What a great year!!!  Two more tournaments to wrap up the season: Old Salt King of the Beach at Madeira Beach, FL on November 9th, and Big Dog Tackle Club Battle on November 16th.

BIG DOG FAT CAT TOURNAMENT

1ST PLACE HEAVIEST KING!!!!

We had a great day fishing the Sailfish Marina Big Dog Fat Cat Tournament at The Sailfish Marina Resort. We were able to put our heaviest king (41.2lbs) into the box by 7:45am. Bite shut off on us from 8-9:30, and then we had a double hook up right before major activity (FishAngler – Explore. Catch. Connect) to put two more teenagers in the boat. All kings we caught under 10lbs were released to fight another day. Thank you to our OAPB_Fishing_Team that fished the Big Dog Fat Cat Tournament: Shaughn Miller, Michelle Hoekstra, Brent Miller, Damian Winnik, Mark Reuwer, and Eric Carter for putting in the work, patience, and determination to help grow the OAPB organization.

Cornhole Tournament

 

 

 

 

 

 

We will be holding our second round in our 12 series Cornhole Tournament on October 23rd at Big Dog Tackle. The tournament begins at 5pm, and then we will begin our Night-time Swordfish Clinic at 7pm inside. Captains Gene Stoller and Jim Blake will go over rods, reels, terminal tackle, lights, zones, balloons, depths, necessary gear, and answer questions. The purpose of this clinic is to prepare teams for the OAPB Night-Time Swordfish Tournament on November 17th.

1) OAPB Cornhole Tournament is 5pm-7pm

2) Night-Time Swordfish Clinic with Gene Stoller and Jim Blake begins at 7pm-9pm. First clinic of two to prepare everyone for the OAPB Night-Time Swordfish tournament on November 17th.

OAPB Cornhole Tournament is going down at Big Dog Tackle on October 23rd, first toss at 5pm. This is the second match in the 12 part series. Winner will win a slot in the championship game for a trip for two to Tamarindo, Costa Rica (airfare, lodging, and fishing charter).

Yetis will be stocked with beer and beverages.
