2020 OAPB KINGFISH TOURNAMENT RESULTS

31 Kingfish Teams came out to fish our 2020 Kingfish Tournament on February 29th at the Sands Harbor Resort and Marina. FishAngler app was forecasting 3 ½ foot seas, and 15-20 knot winds. Run out in the morning was nice and super brisk. By mid-day winds picked up, and the seas a bit more choppy. By lines out time, the inside was nice and calm.

OAPB KMT had teams competing for a single slob King Mackerel, with the option to turn in 3 more kings for multiple categories.

This is our 2^nd tournament in our Slayer Competition for the off the chain Rockford Fosgate Marine Audio System to be installed by American Auto Marine Wiring (Certified Dealer and Installer) Total Value over $6,600. 895.8lbs of fish were weighed in and majority donated to Broward Outreach Center of Pompano Beach(Tournament Fishing Chair Allen Fry and Steve Sexton delivered) to be filleted and prepared for the families of our community that are getting back on their feet. https://oapbff.org

We look forward to bringing our local youth in our Kids Day Fishing program out on the water with Fish City Pride, and Super Sea Legs. With the help of all our volunteers through the OAPB Fishing Foundation, we will provide a fun day of fishing for many children!!!! Kids Day Fishing Chair Terrie Bingaman.
